GELDINGS / PET QUALITY
Our practice has been to offer a FREE gelding / pet quality alpaca with the purchase of each breeding female. Alpacas are happiest in a herd - they need to be with at least one other alpaca. We allow you to pick the gelding of your choice to go with each female. You will be happy to have some "public relations" animals to take to fairs as well as having companions for other groups of alpacas during times of separation, such as weaning,and off-farm breeding. Geldings often become your best fiber producers, as they are not spending their energy and nutrition producing babies and nursing.
