AUREUS MAGNUS
Aureus Magnus has been a "golden boy" for the past two years...one of the three hot fawns in the East. He is a very typey robust young male. The judges have loved his fineness and density as well as his beautiful head and bold masculine presence. This macho guy took Reserve Champion at the North American Show in 2005 where Mike Safley said opening his fleece was "like looking down a mineshaft." At the Empire Show 2005 where he placed second, Amanda VanderBosh commented on the super soft "hand" of his very crimpy fleece. Aureus displays high frequency crimp from skin to tips. Great coverage from head to toe with super staple length--this boy's got it all! His sire is Magnus co-owned by Kilblaan Farm in New Hampshire and Tierra Prometida Alpacas of Texas, a magnificent dark rich brown who is a two time AOBA National blue ribbon winner.
We should re-name him "the girl maker" since out of 12 crias this 2008 birthing season he put 9 beautiful females on the ground.
Throwing every color from pure white to bay black...but usually within a shade of the dam. 3 to 1 ratio of females to males...now that's a golden boy.
