Our elite breeding male Katalyst may have save the best for the last with this cria who is everything "breed standard" is all about. Sofia is the ideal...not a single thing we would change. And it comes as no surprise given her lineage. Snowdrop, her dam has three Blue Ribbons to her name and consistently produces show quality offspring.  Katalyst is... of course... our Legacy Gold Grandson and comes out of the best single bloodline in the country. She looks to have her sire's super dense fleece. Her sister Moxie just got a 1st in Texas after being sold. Her brother Victor just got a 2nd at the New England Classic. Another sister, Mimosa got a 4th at the Coastal Classic.

Sofia was named after another beauty Sophia Loren..and she had the most perfect head and appealing features...big eyes. The fleece is to die for...bundled up like a rug and just so silky soft. This girl is a clear winner and a sign the Village Farm Alpaca has moved its breeding program forward to a new high. Every cria she products can boast of having some Snowmass Genetics.  Sophia was bred to Reserve Champion Clapton for her first cria in June of 2013 and the result was a nice white male we named "Captain".  We will leave Sophia open for this next season for a breeder that is looking for an open female to match up to a stud male on their own farm.  This will drop her price a bit.   Sold unbred for $6,000.
