Snowblaze

We once heard Alpaca Judge Mike Safley say he first looks at the head...if it is true to type...then the rest of the alpaca is likely to be as well. Snowblaze has the most perfect head with pleasing proportion and such bright expressive eyes to go with it. I wish I could put this head on every alpaca born on the farm. And of course Judge Safely is correct...since the rest of this girl follows suit with clean conformational lines and nice upright easy movement. Her sire's(White Heat) best showing was at the 2007 North American Alpaca Show where he placed third in a full class--ahead of SuperNova's Orion Nebula who went on to be that show's White Color Champion the following year. He was clearly competitive with New England's best white males in the show ring at the time. Snowblaze's grandfather Evander in one of New England's best known white herdsires..going back one more generation Snowblaze has both Snowmass Andean GEM and 4Peruvian Wire Cocha in her lineage.. We love the fineness and character of her tightly bundled fleece which really bounces back when you push on it due to the nice density she carries throughout.  Snowblaze produced out of a breeding to Katalyst...the nicest male born on our farm since Victor...who went on the get a Second Place at the Coastal Classic.  Karuso is a stunning well-boned male cria with Snowmass Genetics from both the sire and the dam....as we are so confident in him that we have put a Junior Herdsire price on him already. Karuso has "killer" fleece...with "knock-out" density.  This was such a perfect outcome that we have re-bred Snowblaze to Katalyst for another "Double Snowmass" cria to be born in the summer of 2013.
