- Powerplay's Vortex
- Ethne (Royal Fawn)
Edith is one of our farm favorites with her spunky attitude and stunning grey tuxedo color--grey's like this are the most uncommon of colors in the alpaca world. Edith is the daughter of Vortex.... son of Peruvian Powerplay on his sire's side and grandson of SA Silverado on his dam's side. Both have produced champions all over the U.S. Vortex has a very fine and dense fleece with consistent well defined crimp. The judge's comment at MAPACA was that Vortex had unusually long staple length for a gray and a very soft handle, which helped to put him in second place at one of the largest alpaca shows in the country.
Edith's first fleece was measures at 21.3 microns...nice for a dark alpaca. The judges like it too as Edith placed second at Alpacafest Fleece Show in Ohio 2011.
Edith moves fluidly and is a joy to watch running up and down the pasture. She is correctly proportioned --every thing about her conformation is absolutely pleasing and correct.
Her mother is a Royal Fawn Grand Daughter out of Maple Brook Pendelton. This is a show quality girl and we plan to send her first shearing fleece off to be shown....it got second at the first show!!!!
Terms are a third down and the balance over a year. We will board her for free for six months after the sale
